Another Sixth Black Book of Horror review

Here is another review of The Sixth Black Book of Horror by The Doctor. I was delighted to see that it describes my story, ‘Room Above the Shop’, as “a wonderful piece of subtle horror” and “the jewel in the crown of this anthology.” Praise indeed, as I think the rest of the stories are of a very high standard! You can order the book from the Mortbury Press website now by clicking here.

    Cracking review, Steve, well done!

  2. Steve Bacon says:

    Thanks, Mark.

  3. Ross Warren says:

Picked this up at the weekend in Waterstones in Bristol ( They had all the volumes, and quite a varied horror section) specifically to read Stephen’s story. I wasn’t disappointed!

A quality story from a writer to look out for. Particularly in the forthcoming Dark Minds anthology(nod, nod, wink, wink)

  4. Steve Bacon says:

Thanks for the comments, Ross. It’s heartening to hear Waterstones have such a good horror section. We’ll keep plugging away until the mainstream acknowledge us!
