Yeah, it’s the best story about feral concupiscence I’ve ever read… Seriously, it’s a cracking story, weird and disturbing which left me unsettled. May need to re-read it to work out exactly why I’m unsettled..!

I’d have to agree with a fair few of those too. Pop Art in particular is one of my most favourite stories of all time, in any genre, an absolutely gorgeous story. And More Tomorrow was superb, my introduction to Michael Marshall Smith’s short work, and I haven’t been disappointed since.

I’m lucky enough to be teaching The Road at the moment to A Level English students. There is so much in that book, more every time I read it. Brilliant.

I got the “real book” version of this. It’s a very eclectic collection with a lot of “literary” stories but Husks was definitely a standout, a beautifully written, highly emotional story.
